Moustafa Fahour OAM – Chairperson of the Sub Committee

Is the Founder & Chairperson of Islamic Museum of Australia and was formerly the CEO and Managing Director of one of the leading diversified international contractors in the Middle East, based in Dubai. He was recognised with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) by the Australian Government in 2015, was selected as one of The World’s Most Influential Young Arabs under the age of 40, by Arabian Business and the distinguishedAlumni Award by La Trobe University in 2016.

Tarek Khodr – Sub Committee member

Is a serving committee member and current President of the Islamic Society of Victoria. He is successful business operator and spends significant time in volunteering his service to the Muslim community.

Hass Dellal AO – Sub Committee member

Is the Executive Director of the Australian Multicultural Foundation. He has over 25 years’ experience in policy, management, community development and programming for cultural diversity. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to Multiculturalism, the Arts and the Community in 1997, and the Centenary of Federation Medal in 2003. He was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Social Sciences by RMIT University in 2006.

Azmeena Hussain – Sub Committee member

Is a Principal at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers. She is the Deputy Chair of InTouch Multicultural Centre against Family Violence and a Non-Executive Director at Football Victoria. She is listed in the prestigious Doyle’s Guide as a preeminent Australian personal injuries lawyer and is a Law  Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist as well as a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mohammed Mohtadi – Sub Committee member

Is the Director of Specialised Fire Protection and a seasoned construction Veteran. He lends himself to Australian Standard Committee, National fire contactors association, the Plumbing centre of excellence and more importantly spending time and efforts to support the community through a number of initiatives.

Key Highlights:

  • The Sub Committee will have complete responsibility for the Design, marketing, fundraising, tender and build of the renovation
  • Accounts to be Audited by Tier 1 or 2 external accounting firm and held in trust by approved third party
  • Community engagement and information sessions
  • Transparent and arm’s length process
