About Islamic Society Of Victoria

The Islamic Society of Victoria (ISV) is a community organisation with the vision of providing Islamic services to the Muslims of Victoria and to provide the wider Australian community a better understanding of Islam. Through these services, the ISV plays an important role in enhancing the interfaith and social cohesive landscape of Victoria. 

The ISV is well known in establishing one of the first large scale Mosque in 1975, led by the late Sheikh Fehmi Naji El-Imam, who was appointed as Grand Mufti of Australia from 2007 to 2011.

New Brand, New Logo, New Vision

The Islamic Society of Victoria (ISV) is pleased to announce the launch of its new brand.

After months of consultation, the new logo has a fresh new colour, green, that has traditional association with Islam. The symbol of hands, which portrays the importance of community and the arabic translation that represents the importance arabic plays in the Islamic faith and its beautiful form of art. This new brand launch coincides with the ISV’s new focus on returning to the original core reason this organisation was established in 1950’s by the late Sheikh Fehmi Naji El-Imam: To provide Islamic services to the Muslim community of Victoria and provide a better understanding of Islam to the wider Australian public.

The new brand will be rolled out gradually across our organisation in the coming months.

Our Vision

The Islamic Society of Victoria is a community organisation with the vision of providing Islamic services to the Muslims in Victoria and to provide the wider Australian community a better understand of Islam. Through these services the ISV plays an important role in enhancing the interfaith and social cohesive landscape in Victoria.

Our Mission

The ISV provides Islamic services to the Muslim community of Victoria which include one of the first large scale mosque in Victoria, marriage services, funeral, education, interfaith programs and events to enhance the interfaith landscape in Victoria. ISV aims to foster and facility community harmony, interfaith understanding, multiculturalism and understanding of Islam.

Organisation

The Islamic Society of Victoria is a not for profit community organisation that provides Islamic services to the Muslim community and promote interfaith understanding and insight to the general public.

Islamic Society Of Victoria Committee

The Islamic Society of Victoria (ISV) is a community organisation with the vision of providing Islamic services to the Muslims of Victoria and to provide the wider Australian community a better understanding of Islam. Through these services, the ISV plays an important role in enhancing the interfaith and social cohesive landscape of Victoria. ISV offers religious and social welfare services in Victoria, while leading ongoing collaborations between interfaith and multicultural community organisations, Local, State, Federal government and the wider Australian public.
